SECTION 2: WHO WE ARE, AND WHAT WE DO

Through this Site, the company operates a customer database (the “Service”), through which it collects, sorts, and sells contact information to businesses on behalf of existing, historical, or potential individual consumers (“List Members”) who have shown an interest in applying for a business’ products or services and has affirmatively asked to be contacted by a representative of these products and services.

The company uses third party vendors, third party affiliates, and a mixture of media advertisements to promote the Site. The company also promotes its products and services via e-mail or by other means to consumers who have requested that they be contacted either through our online application opt-in process via our Site. Consumers receive these promotions only as long as they wish. List Members may opt-out at any time by reaching out to support@compasscash.ca.

SECTION 3: GENERAL INFORMATION COLLECTION, STORAGE, AND USE

Compass Cash collects information through the Site from prospective and existing customers at several different points on the Site. Contact information is used to send information to service accounts. Users may opt-opt of receiving future mailings. Contact and financial information that is collected is used for verifying your name, address, and other information. Information about your computer hardware and software is automatically collected and may be shared in aggregate with third parties whose services are used for traffic analysis purposes. This information includes: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, and referring website addresses. This information is used by Compass Cash to maintain and improve the quality of the service and to generate statistics regarding use of the Site. Compass Cash does not use third party databases to correct or update the information you submit to us for any reason. You do not need to complete any registration forms and we will not send you any information such as newsletters or updates without your personal consent.

Compass Cash uses personal information for purposes of assessing the creditworthiness of the customer for the loans requested, processing payments, monitoring the use of the service, marketing and promotional efforts, improving content and service offerings, and customizing the Site’s content, layout, services, and for other lawful purposes. Furthermore, such information may be shared with others on an aggregate basis. Personally identifiable information or business information will not be shared with parties except as consented and as required by law. Occasionally, the information collected may be used to notify you about important changes to the Site, new services, and special offers which it is believed you may find valuable. You may notify Compass Cash at any time if you do not wish to receive these offers.

The following is required information that must be provided when applying for products or services: name, complete address, phone, email address, loan amount desired, loan type desired, place of employment, years employed, and yearly income.

Not all information asked for on the Site is required when completing the forms. When you submit your application online, you grant permission to be contacted by the Site and affiliated third parties. Your information will be shared with lenders who receive your application as well as affiliated third parties, as needed, to fulfill your loan request. These affiliated companies may also send you information about products and special offers that may be of interest to you.

Your information may also be used to notify you about changes to the Site, services, and to inform you of special offers you may find of interest.

SECTION 4: MAINTENANCE OF ACCURATE INFORMATION

Compass Cash has established procedures to ensure that your financial information is accurate, current, and complete, in keeping with reasonable commercial standards. Registration Information: When you register for any products, services, or newsletters, you will provide us information about yourself.

Email Information: If you choose to correspond with us through email, we may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and our responses.

Website Use Information: Similar to other commercial websites, the Site utilizes a standard technology called cookies and web server log files to collect information about how the Site is used. Except as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy, it is a Compass Cash policy not to reveal specific information about customer accounts or other personally identifiable data to unaffiliated third parties for their independent use unless: 1) the information is provided to help complete a customer-initiated transaction; 2) the customer requests or authorizes it; 3) the information is provided to a reputable credit bureau or similar information reporting agency; 4) the disclosure is required or allowed by law (e.g. subpoena, investigation of fraudulent activity, requested by regulator, etc.…); or 5) the customer has been informed about the possibility of disclosure for marketing purposes through a prior notice and given the opportunity to decline or opt-out, whenever required or as permitted by law.

If false or inaccurate information is provided, including in relation to a person’s identify and fraud is identified, details about this information, including customer personal data, will be passed to fraud prevention agencies. Law enforcement agencies may access and use this information. We and other organizations may also access and use this information to prevent fraud and money laundering, for example when checking details on applications for credit and credit related and other facilities; managing credit and credit related accounts or other facilities; recovering debt; and checking details of job applications and employees. SECTION 6: SELLING AND SHARING OF INFORMATION

We do not share, sell, lend, or lease any of the List Members personal or financial information provided to use with anyone except to the extent that it is necessary to process transactions or provide the requested services. Compass Cash may use your information for making lending decisions and services the relationship with you, for the purposes of fraud prevention and debt collection, to understand your financial needs, to conduct business, and to provide you with better customer service and products from both Compass Cash and those of selected third parties, to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing of the Site, and for statistical analysis.

Compass Cash may disclose information when legally compelled to do so, or for the protection of our legal rights. Compass Cash may disclose account information when there is reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be violating terms or to protect the safety of users and the general public.
When you submit your request for information or quote, you are granting permission to be contacted by Compass Cash or affiliated third parties. Contact and loan request data submitted by you in the Site’s form may be shared with affiliated companies to fulfill information requests we receive from you, to provide you with superior service, inform you of product and service opportunities that may be of interest to you, and for other business purposes, we may disclose all of the information we collect. An “Affiliate Company” is a company under legal contract with Compass Cash to fulfill services or is a company owned in whole or in part by Compass Cash.

Some of the services offered on the Site may be co-branded with contracted partners. Co-branded offerings will be identified directly on the form for the product or service you choose prior to you having to submit the request. Where a co-branded product or service provider is identified, your personally identifiable information will be provided directly to that provider’s website.

SECTION 7: ACQUISITION OR CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP

In the event that this Site or other parts of the company’s assets are sold, customer information is considered part of the assets of the company, and as such, may be transferred to the new owners. In this event, you would be notified by e-mail or by notice on this Site.

SECTION 8: COOKIES

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive containing information about the user. If a user rejects the cookie, they may still use the Site, however without cookies, the user may not have access to certain features on the Site. Cookies can also enable the tracking and targeting of interests of users in order to enhance their experience on the Site. The use of cookies by the tracking utility company is not covered by the Privacy Policy statement. We do not have control over these cookies.

The Site may contain links to other sites. Please be aware that the Company is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. The user is encouraged to be aware when they leave the Site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. Clients are provided the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us and our partners. Should a user wish to opt-out, they are encouraged to contact us at the email address listed below in this document, and they will be removed in a reasonable period of time.

We cannot ensure that all your private communicates and other personally identifiable information will never be disclosed in a manner(s) not otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to disclose List Members information in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) our rights or property, other visitors, members, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. We reserve the right to disclose visitor or List Members information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it.

SECTION 15: POLICY CHANGES

From time to time, the Privacy Policy may change due a variety of factors such as, but not limited to, advancing technology, new laws, etc. You should always read the Privacy Policy of any site you visit, even if you have done so before, in order to ensure that you have a complete and current understanding.
